The Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (FORTH - Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology) announces an opening for two short term postdoctoral positions in the laboratory of Christos Delidakis to participate in the research programme Is there a ubiquitin code in Notch signalling? (UBICODE). This programme is funded by ARISTEIA II, which is part of the action "Education and Lifelong Learning" and is co‐financed by the European Union (the European Social Fund) and national funds. 
Description 
Cell biological and functional characterization of signalling molecules of the Notch pathway in Drosophila. Transgenic insect manipulation and histological analysis. 
Qualifications Weight 
University Degree/ Master's in Life or Physical Sciences (Biology, Medicine, Chemistry etc) 15% 
PhD on a related topic 15% 
Scientific publications 10% 
Good use of computers 10% 
Excellent knowledge of English 
Experience in genetics (preferably Drosophila) 20% 
Experience in Molecular and Cellular Biology and confocal microscopy 20% 
Participation in research proposals and /or personal scholarships 10% 
Contract Duration: Τhese are short-term positions. Start date 1 April 2015 (earliest) - End date 31 July 2015. 
Monthly compensation: 1.968 € including taxes/ insurance/VAT

Evaluation procedure 
The above mentioned qualifications will be graded on the scale of 1‐10. Candidates may be invited for an interview, if deemed necessary 
The selected candidates will be notified personally regarding the success of their application and will be requested to submit certified copies of their degrees. In the event that the documents submitted do not agree with the original application, the candidate will be dismissed.
