Post doctoral position on dust and ambient aerosol solubility experiments

Dust solubility experiments. Determination of chemical composition and solubility of aerosols and of their atmospheric deposition. 
Duration: 4 months 
net monthly amount: 1.707,31€ 
The project is co-financed by the European Union (European Social Fund - ESF) and Greek national funds through the Operational Program "Education and Lifelong Learning" of the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) ARISTEIA I 
Description Contribution to the deliverables 1.2 - New experimental data on dust solubility, 1.3 - parameterizations of dust, Fe and P solubility changes, 2.2- New field measurements, 2.3- statistical analysis of field measurements and 5.3 Final report on the project results. 
The evaluation of proposals will be based on the following criteria 
Mandatory Qualifications 
BSc in Chemistry 1 unit *degree grade 
PhD in environmental Chemistry Up to 30 units 
-Proven experience in measurements of aerosol composition and atmospheric deposition. 
with full relevance to the project 2 units/year (up to 10 units) 
with partial relevance to the project 1 units/year (up to 5 units) 
with no relevance to the project 0 unit 
Proven experience on accurate analytical technics like spectrophotometry, ionic chromatography, PILS, metal analysis with ICP-MS, soluble OC, TOC, OC/EC and elemental carbon. 
with full relevance to the project 4 units/year (up to 20 units) 
with partial relevance to the project 2 units/year (up to 10 units) 
with no relevance to the project 0 unit 
Good knowledge of English language (writing and speaking) Up to 10 units 
Scientific publications in peer reviewed international journals Up to 20 units 
Two (2) recommendation letters 5 units/ recommendation 
Additional Qualifications 
Abilities in using computer 5 units 
Experience in statistical analysis of dataseries up to 5 units 
Good use of English language as indicated by the test up to 10 units 
Interview up to 20 units 
General knowledge in environmental science 
Good knowledge in the analytical technics relevant to the project 
Good use of English language 
Scientific interests of the candidate
